I would like to invite you to participate in a truly special summer camp experience in the heart of Eastern Europe for 2 weeks in the summer of 2009. Introducing the "Chlopowo Violin and Arts Camp" in the beautiful and serene lakes village of Chlopowo, Poland --- a place to play... and play... and play.
Our camp retreat offers your talented young musicians the best of both worlds. The quiet and solitude of a country lake retreat, combined with a professional staff of violin teachers and performers with experience on three continents and a drama program conducted by a professional director from Poland. All programs are available bi-lingually in Polish and English.
The violin program will consist of an immersion-style experience, with daily private lessons, daily chamber music workshops, and daily practice schedules in a natural setting. All of this will culminate in a closing recital in the nearby city of Poznan in an elegant old, newly-restored theater, as well as visits to the Museum of Musical Instruments and the Music Academy of Poznan.
The drama program will give the camp students an opportunity to broaden their horizons in the arts in a fun and challenging environment and will also climax with a specially-prepared play that will coincide with the Poznan recital.
But fear not! Our camp experience will not be "All work and no play..." For daily, the camp residents will have many enjoyable hours of swimming and boating in some of the 15 lakes that surround this truly special village of Chlopowo.
Camp residents will be able to partake of group airfare rates and a reasonably-priced stay in a Polish country inn, complete with housekeeping and three hearty meals per day.
I invite you to click on the DVD link to watch the 3- minute video to introduce you to our country retreat, and then I invite you to commit to a longer visit in the summer of 2009, which will surely be a mind-expanding experience for the young musicians in your family.
