Violinist, is a violin performance graduate of Manhattan School of Music and a teacher's program graduate of Hunter College in New York. Ms. Kwasniewska has been working as a Suzuki Violin teacher for the past 12 years and as a Royal School of Music teacher for the past 10 years. Ms. Kwasniewska is currently working on developing her own method. This is an improved method of teaching which combines and builds on the Suzuki and Royal School principles but expands to better develop the desires and expectations of today's young performers. Ms. Kwasniewska has been successfully teaching using her method at United Nations International School, Westchester Conservatory, Queensborough Community College and prestigious private schools such as St.David's and Trevor Day School in New York City. Ms. Kwasniewska had lived in Hong Kong for 6 years ( 1996-2002 ) and is the founder there of the violin programs at Peak School and Kellett School, where enrollment reached over 120 children from both an expatriate community as well as children of local residents. Ms. Kwasniewska travels regularly to China to meet with young violinists and offer them master classes.
During her career in Asia, Ms. Kwasniewska performed regularly as a member of City Chamber Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, and the Blue Note Quartet.
Ms. Kwasniewska has performed as a band member with various Canton Pop stars such as Jacky Cheung, Alan Tam, Fay Wong as well as with western musicians such as tenor Luciano Pavarotti and electric violinist Vanessa Mae.Ms. Kwasniewska has performed in the off-Broadway show " The Doll House" in New York (1995) and took part in a first Broadway style production "The Snow Wolf Lake" in Hong Kong (1996). Ms. Kwasniewska has also recorded for BBC, Koch and Naxos.
While in New York Ms. Kwasniewska has been a member of Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Staten Island Symphony, Westchester Symphony, Greenwich Symphony, the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey (where she is Concertmaster and regular soloist), the Astoria Symphony, the Edison Symphony, and the South Orange Symphony. Ms Kwasniewska performs with pop singers such K.D Lang, and Ann Murray. She has also performed with the Summit Strings, as well as with her quartet of friends.
Ms. Kwasniewska recently performed under renowned pianist and conductor, Vladimir Ashkenazy during the 2nd Hong Kong International Piano Competition, and is a founding member, along with Allen Weakland, of their "Strings of Pearls" violin duo, which regularly performs recitals and in chamber concerts, as well as providing elegant music for weddings and parties. She recently also performed at a Holiday Festival near Mannheim, Germany.
